I’m a researcher in Bioinformatics and Computational Oncology at the Veneto Instute of Oncology, Italy, and previously Ph.D student (2020-2023) under the supervision of Prof. Fabio Vandin (Vandin Lab). I am currently under part-time agreement with the University of Padova, collaborating with Silvio Bicciato’s Lab.
I received my Master’s Degree in Bioengineering from the University of Padova in 2017, including a one-year visiting research period at the Medizinische Universität, Innsbruck, Austria, under the supervision of Zlatko Trajanoski and Francesca Finotello. Between my Master’s and Ph.D. I temporarily switched to industry, working for an italian multinational company (Inventis).
My research mainly focuses on the development of ML and AI methods for omics data, mainly single cell and spatial transcriptomics. I have been lately presenting my work at RECOMB, ISMB-ECCB, CIBB, and ECML-PKDD.
